Why we do it

This year we have seen the introduction of a government directive which will set new standards to which vehicles must be treated at the end of their useful life prior to their being recycled at a UK Shredders Ltd.

This new treatment will include the removal of fluids, tyres and batteries as well as other hazardous material and will he carried out at Authorised Treatment Facility (ATF).

The main objective is to ensure that 85% of an end of life vehicle by weight will be recycled by the year 2006, which will increase to 95% by the year 2015 with additional de-pollution tasks being progressively introduced.

CaR.I.P. has been created especially to deal with this new government legislation in its entirety. This includes the initial de-pollution and parts recovery process carried out by our dedicated business the lawful disposal of die resultant waste materials through structured relationships with professional companies in the
recycling sector and recovery of recyclable materials through its links
with UK Shredders Ltd.

Taking your vehicles to CaR.I.P. Authorised Treatment Facility at the end of its useful life will ensure that it is treated to best practice standards and that all necessary paperwork. is completed to prove that you have disposed of your end of life vehicle in a responsible and lawful manner in accordance with UK legislation.
